When Oakley first came to SPIN, he was in rough shape: overgrown, matted, sore and abandoned by the people who had used him to make money. He was used as a breeding dog in a puppy mill for nine (!) years.

But, he is a calm and loving boy that loves nothing more than being with his person. He’s a dog that you can take anywhere with you, loves to snuggle, and is a great walker on leash. 

Oakley does not understand change, new environments, or have a lot of experience living in a loving, comfortable home. His ideal home will be with a family that is able to pivot as his needs evolve, and show him a lot of patience, routine, and stability. He needs time to take it all in and learn that he is safe, you will protect him, and life is good. 

With care and love, he has blossomed into the sweet, affectionate boy he was always meant to be.
