Kara arrived at her foster home after what must have been a long day for this sweet girl. Removed from the barn she’s always known, transported twice, bathed, groomed, and suddenly living inside a home for the very first time.Kara comes from a rescue that negotiates the surrender of ex‑breeding dogs and overstock puppies who are less likely to be sold by commercial puppy farms. Yesterday was probably only her second and third car ride ever — the first being her trip from the breeding facility to the rescue a few days ago.When she arrived, Kara smelled like a mix of pine shavings and manure, her coat fluffy and fairly matted. After a bath and groom, she transformed into a fresh, soft, better‑smelling Super Dog — named after Supergirl herself, Kara Danvers.To our amazement, Kara was clean in the house all night. Her foster Mom fell asleep on the couch, and Kara had free run of the main floor (even though she hasn’t figured out stairs yet). Around 8:30, they heard her whining and howling to go outside, which absolutely blew their minds.Kara is one of the happiest former breeders we’ve seen in a long time — her whole body wiggles when she wags her tail. She seeks her fosters out, gently pokes for attention, and whines when the last person who pet her leaves the room… but she quickly chooses a new human to adore.- Poodle - Standard
