We're happy to tell you that Bear has a new furever home. Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.
For the first nine years of his life, Bear lived mostly outdoors, with little training and no real family of his own. In foster care, he proved that it’s never too late to start fresh. Bear is calm, loyal, and deeply affectionate — the kind of dog who wants nothing more than to be near his people, go for leisurely walks, and curl up close at the end of the day.
Bear was adopted by a wonderful family who had adopted from us before. We knew he had landed in a great spot. Here is their first update:
I'm almost a week late for my one-week update on Bear, but here are some things we’ve learned about Bear in his first week (and a half)! He:
Walks nicely. Will tree a squirrel given the opportunity (there is a lot of opportunity in rural northern Ontario)
Is a master of poodle origami for folding himself on to small chairs and cat beds
Doesn’t believe in personal space for humans
Overall, Bear is the perfect endorsement for bringing a senior dog into the family! He is very chill and happy just to hang out with everyone, but still has lots on enthusiasm for walks and activities.
He has been a near perfect gentleman since we brought him home. Thank you very much to his foster mom Cynthia and the SPIN team for helping us to add him to our household!
