Like many dogs that have have been raised in a kennel environment without much human contact, Kim is very timid at this point and will need a lot of TLC and socialization.  
This is from her foster Mom only one week in: Hi it’s Kim ! I had a great day Fomom took me to the woods on a walk and we went for a car ride . I showed Fomom I can do stairs both up and down . My appetite is getting better oh and I really like wet food ! I even got my teeth brushed today. I have been at my foster home for one week and I think I like it!
