Meet King – a young Standard Poodle with energy to spare and love to give.

King is a one-year-old, bouncy, smart, and affectionate guy who's just beginning to learn how great life can be with structure, patience, and positive guidance. Like many adolescent dogs, King missed out on early training and boundaries—but he’s making up for lost time in foster care.

This boy is all heart. He wants to be with you, learn from you, and play by your side. He's crate trained, house-trained, walks well on leash (mostly—squirrels are still exciting), and is very food motivated. He’s also high energy, a little loud, and still learning to channel his enthusiasm into polite behavior. King can be a bit mouthy when excited, and he’s still figuring out that countertops are not buffets—but he’s catching on quickly with consistent feedback.

King isn’t for the faint of heart. He’ll thrive with someone experienced, active, and committed to continuing his training. If you’re looking for a joyful, goofy, loving companion and are ready to invest in helping him grow into his best self, King might just be your perfect match.
