Over the past 2 years I have opened my home to a variety of foster dogs of all different sizes, temperament, and histories. Each pup taught me something new in our journey together to find their forever home, and I was so proud of them each time I got to say goodbye and let them start the beginning of their new life. I love being a foster, and I never really considered the idea of MY home being that “forever” for the dogs, rather a soft resting place on their journey.But life likes to throw you the best curveballs when you least expect it and Mr. Loki was one of them. His soft gentle nature paired with his love of all things Ball (No, seriously, ball is life. Ball is everything) and curiosity about the world immediately felt “right” in my life. He is the Office Mascot and waits patiently each morning for his pets and treats from each technician and office employee as they arrive (he has us all very well-trained already), he has his favourite sunny nap spot and has already selected his best friends on the dog trails. His stubborn streak is both hilarious and challenging as we work on recall and the difference between sit and lay down (hey it’s a 50/50 chance he gets that treat, he likes those odds).So Happy Gotcha Day Loki-Pokey! Thank you to SPIN for allowing me the honour of making him a permanent member of my home, and I look forward to him being a future great interim big brother to fosters in the future that may come our way. - Adopt
