I've found my furever family!

At the beginning of October 2023, a lovely, fun, boisterous four year old standard poodle named Paco was surrendered into SPIN. Paco settled in nicely into his foster home in Ottawa and as the weeks went by he became more and more relaxed.

At first, to be honest, Paco was a bit skittish with sudden sounds or movements when on walks and would jump back to get away from whatever startled him. Paco was so lucky when he landed in his foster home with Susanne. She really worked with Paco to help him relax and find his inner poodle. Paco was adopted in November but, despite all the preparations that we do with the dog and the adopters, the placement was just not the right fit. Paco was sorrowfully returned to SPIN.

Susanne warmly welcomed Paco back into her home and  he returned to being  his silly, cuddly self. Susanne paid more attention to certain behaviours and doubled down on training. And now Paco has been adopted! Yeah buddy! We couldn’t be happier for you!
