When SPIN was asked if we could help a one year old standard poodle in Vancouver we said yes! But who would foster? I turned to Alexa who had been waiting for a very, very, very long time to foster. The timing never seemed to come together. When there was a foster dog available, Alexa wasn't available. When Alexa was available, SPIN didn't have a dog that needed a safe space to land! When we were contacted about Rex, Alexa was available, but only for a few weeks. After that they were vacationing with her Mom for a couple of weeks and then Mom was scheduled to dog sit and they were off for an overseas holiday. But wait! Mom said that it would be no problem to dog sit if Rizzo and Rex got along. Two. Two fosters for one dog.And.... They fell hard for Rex. This is from their first post:Rex, our new foster buddy, has been with us for a few days now. He is such a sweet and gentle boy. He is getting along so well with his foster sister Rizzo (even starting to copy some of her behaviours), loves chasing balls, going on sniffaris, and his funny personality is showing more and more each day! Today he went for a groom and will definitely be more comfortable in the heat we’re having in BC right now. The groomer said he was a dream to groom! For 1.5 yr old boy, that's high praise. He’s such a sweet, silly guy!
