We got our Rooney, aka Rooster, 8 days ago. We're so happy with our little boy.

Initially, we went to go see another lovely pup, Gemma. We were set on adopting another female. Bernice told us there would be another puppy at the meet and greet. A little man named Rooney!

Well poor Tulip was terrified of Gemma but adored Rooney. Gemma was absolutely wonderful but didn't feel like our dog.

After Tulip and my husband said their goodbyes, I gave the little man one last pat and my heart was torn. I didn't want it to be our last goodbye. The little rascal was meant to be our dog.

After accepting that my outdoor plants will be peed on and ordering some belly bands, we set on another journey to go get the little man.

We met the most wonderful foster family. They took great care of our Rooney. We got to meet another of SPIN's alumni, Frankie! Oh what a special girl she is.

When we got back home, Tulip still couldn't believe it. She was so excited to have her little brother at home.

Rooney has made wonderful progress in the past 8 days. He has better impulse control over food, shares his toys and humans with Tulip now, can stay in the crate for an hour without us present and relaxes in there and can jump in and out of the car mostly on his own!

He's such a wonderful boy. We're so grateful to have him in our lives, especially Tulip!
