Just to recap, on Saturday, April 25, 2026, almost exactly one month after Vega’s surrender and surgery, SPIN received a call from an Emergency Vet. They had an owner-surrender, 4-year old miniature poodle who had eaten a sock or something. It was clear there was a blockage. Could SPIN help Rosie? Of course!Upon intake, Rosie went into surgery. It turned out that, among other things, Rosie had eaten dental floss. It was a very difficult surgery as the intestines were badly damaged. Indeed, 35cm of intestine had to be removed(!). Rosie has made an incredible recovery and is now ready to find the right forever family. She is house trained, wonderful on leash, fantastic with veterinary staff, loves affection, and absolutely lights up when it’s time for a walk.Rosie is looking for an adult-only home that understands the need to have her environment managed and positive reinforcement training. She can be a little too interested in socks, laundry, and treasures she finds around the house, and she needs people who will help keep her safe while continuing to build her confidence and trust.
In return? Rosie offers companionship, charm, happy little poodle prances, and the kind of bond that comes from helping a dog truly feel secure and understood.
